Founded in 2003 at Oyler Community Learning Center,  Adopt A Class (AAC) is a non-profit organization with a vision of all students having access to caring adults who expose them to a breadth of life and career experiences so they can unleash their full potential. ​Adopt A Class mentors engage with their adopted classes through monthly visits, educational activities, and field trips, empowering them to unleash their full potential.  

​Adopt A Class’s mission connects businesses and civic groups with students to provide unique hands-on learning experiences. By pairing teams with individual classrooms, the adult mentors expose the students to a breadth of experiences and training to be workforce and career ready. 

Students are excited to see how the skills that they are learning in the classroom, and through these monthly sessions apply to real life experiences. ​

Oyler has 14 classrooms adopted through various organizations and businesses in classrooms from preschool to 8th grade!
